The song was written from the Perspective of Jesus Christ, longing to play a powerful role in our Lives, however, just as God can't, Christ cannot force anyone of us to do anything against the Gift of Free Will...thus, WE must CHOOSE to have Jesus Christ Risen within us, WE must do the work to achieve these things, and it is ALL only ever a Choice between the Straight and Narrow Path of Purity and Righteousness (Virtue), and the Broad and Spacious Path of Slothful, who have become to lazy to do anything for themselves, thus, they constantly are "choosing" the Cabal to rule their lives...
