Despite the cat being the most popular pet in Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin prefers dogs, of which he has three: Labrador Connie Polgrave, Bulgarian Shepherd Buffy and Akita Inu Yume. All of Putin's dogs live in his Novo-Ogaryovo residence near Moscow.
