Four young men were rescued after their pickup truck crashed into a creek in Taguig City in Manila, Philippines on October 22.
Video captured by Mark Jason Gagarin shows the vehicle submerged in the water, with its hood crumpled from the accident. Residents extended a stepladder to rescue the four passengers.
Gagarin said: "I immediately stopped to help them. They actually used my phone to contact their families."
According to the initial investigation, the driver fell asleep at the wheel, causing him to collide with the bridge railings and fall into the creek.
The victims were taken to a nearby hospital to evaluate their health.
