Beware The Traveler: Stay Alert For Your Adversary

Just as any military personnel stays on high alert when the enemy is near by, so should we. We should never get too relaxed and take our guard down. In the Old Testament, it was the job of the watchmen to keep a constant, vigilant readiness when guarding. If he fell asleep at his post or failed to report the enemy coming, it could mean his very life. Just as the watchmen took their job seriously, we too as Christians must take heed to this warning to stay alert for our adversary seeks to destroy us.
