BIO:
Military Career
One of the country’s most highly decorated Navy SEAL combat veterans, Robert J. O’Neill was involved in our nation’s most strategic military campaigns and led the military’s most elite. Deploying more than a dozen times, O’Neill held combat leadership roles in over 400 combat missions across four different theaters of war. After almost 17 years of service, Mr. O’Neill was honorably discharged in August 2012 as Team Leader with the Naval Special Warfare Development Group.

Military Decorations & Awards:
During his remarkable career, Robert J. O’Neill has been decorated more than 52 times with honors. Some of Mr. O’Neill’s most notable military decorations include: two Silver Stars(1), four Bronze Stars with Valor(2), a Joint Service Commendation Medal with Valor(3), three Presidential Unit citations and two Navy/Marine Corps Commendations with Valor(4).

Today:
A public speaker, security consultant, philanthropist and FOX News contributor, Rob is involved in a range of missions. Through his charity, Your Grateful Nation, O’Neill works to raise awareness and financial support for special operations military personnel making the difficult transition from the battlefield to the boardroom.

Whether speaking to a small group of 9/11 survivors, or to an auditorium full of business professionals, Rob enjoys traveling the country, meeting fellow Americans and translating his elite SEAL training into high-impact, actionable insights. As a regular contributor with FOX News Channel, Rob offers expert analysis on terrorism and military strategy.

(1) Silver Stars, the military’s third highest honor, are awarded for extraordinary gallantry in action against an enemy of the United States.
(2) Bronze Stars with Valor are awarded for merit, with Valor signifying a heroic act or acts by an individual while engaged in direct combat with an enemy with exposure to enemy hostilities and personal risk. It is the fourth-highest combat award of the U.S. Armed Forces and the ninth highest military award overall.
(3) Joint Service Commendation Medals are given for senior service on a joint military staff and is the most senior of the commendation medals.
(4) Valor signifying a heroic act or acts by an individual while engaged in direct combat with an enemy with exposure to enemy hostilities and personal risk.
