Patience is a Virtue

Great Blue Heron - Black Point Wildlife Drive, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Titusville, Florida

I found this guy hiding under a Black Mangrove bush hunting minnows. I've always wondered what these guys look like from a "fish-eye" view, but so far I've yet to lay on my back in the water, under a mangrove bush to get that view, and it's very likely the heron would fly away before I could make that capture. Though I suppose I could place a water-proof, remote capture rig in this spot (a favorite hunting place for this bird), but I'll leave it up to the Nat Geo people to do that
