Make a T handle for a Barn Auger

This is a rather simple project but it does involve a square tapered hole you have to put in the center. Once I finished it I went out and got an auger bit jammed in a piece of wood that was a little wet apparently. I stripped the hole out, but a light tap re engaged it and it worked fine. It decided to get stuck again and rather than ruin the T handle I went inside got my Stanley bit brace and ruined it instead. I’ll be looking for an antique one for future use. These days in order to cut cost they tend to cut material to do it. That’s right where it broke too. Now I get to make a new hammer head too. I had to split the one I was working on to get the bit out. That’s life.
