how to know what customers want
As I've said numerous times before, one of the most important aspects of business is to really, truly understand your audience, your market, and your customer needs.
And the good news is, all the data you need to fully understand your customers is freely available online. Anyone can find it. All it takes is time and effort -- an amount of effort you can count on your competitors being unwilling to do. And that's just fine with us, right?
Put in the time and effort, and your target audience will tell you exactly what they need. No guessing, no hunches, no poorly thought out opinions or dreaming up some "magical big idea."
Instead, all we have to do is be willing to put in the effort, and to listen. Never forget, your market is always right. Always. They already know what they want...so all we need to do is go and find out.
And because market research is so critically important to your success -- remember, it's the crux, the foundation, of your entire business -- I actually recommend a combination of several market research methods. This includes a few very powerful, deep research methods that we just don't have the space to delve into here.
For now, just be sure not to overlook market research. It's THAT important. And in the meantime, the research methods I've discussed with you in other videos will help you get a much better idea of your target market -- their needs, pains, and challenges.
Add them to your toolbox to help discover their painful problems, their ambitions, and more. Put in the time and effort to gather as much unbiased, credible information as you can, directly from the target market you seek to serve. And once you've done that, you're ready to start developing killer products and services.
