Osprey's All Mighty Guarantee and Other Gear Warranties

Sharing three positive experiences with gear manufactures and their warranty programs..

The main share is regarding the Osprey: All Mighty Guaranty. They really do mean Any Reason, Any Product, Any Era. The guaranty says, “Osprey will repair any damage or defect for any reason free of charge – whether it was purchased in 1974 or yesterday. If we are unable to perform a functional repair on your pack, we will happily replace it. We proudly stand behind this guarantee, so much so that it bears the signature of company founder and head designer, Mike Pfotenhauer.”

I put this claim to the test on a 5-year-old damaged Atmos AG 65 and I’m sharing my exposure to the AMG. In a nutshell, a sublime experience from start to finish.

The second share is with Sea to Summit. The series of X-Pots are really quite unique in the design and functionality. These aren’t the lightest backpacking cook systems on the market, but fun, compact, easy to clean and worth the extra weight. I was hoping to purchase a replacement lid, but in return was happy to find another company that unquestioningly backs their product.

And lastly, Kuhl Apparel, who makes some of the nicest hiking pants. They absolutely shocked me by taking care of this customer when most companies would not. I will buy these pants again and again and again after receiving such excellent customer service.
