Dear friends welcome to our TV show Shalom Israel, a show about the Culture, History, Life and Religion of the Israel People.
Today we want to understand how is possible for a Jew born in and grown up in an Orthodox Jewish family, to believe and confess that the Messiah of Israel is Jesus from Nazareth? Also we want to understand why many of these Messianic Jewish believers do not join the Christian Congregations but continue to live as Jews among the Jews?
Today we had the privilege to participate at the special celebration of Bar Mitzvah in „Ben David” Jewish Messianic Congregation from Los Angeles, USA.
Mr. Douglas Friedman, the leader of this Congregation together with his wife Mrs. Bonnie Friedman kindly accepted to be our guests today.

1. Along the centuries a mix marriage between a Jew and a Christian was rejected in the Jewish and Christian Communities all around the world. How was possible for you as a Lutheran Christian and an Orthodox Jew to become friends, and latter to married?
A. Bonnie – your spiritual journey up to the invitation of Doug to the party.
2. Mr. Friedman what was your spiritual journey toward this crossing moment in your lives?
A. Doug – the education in your Jewish family, the life in the Synagogue, the Bar Mitzvah school, studies and work. Your understanding tins times about God, Jesus, Christians.
3. You may consider after so many years that your encounter was God’s will? How do you passed over all the obstacles and religious barriers which divided you at the beginning of your relationship?
A. Doug and Bonnie
3. How do you come to realize Mr. Douglas that Yeshua from Nazareth is the Messiah of Israel?
A. Doug – the births of Aaron, the reading of the New Testament, that summer and the revelation
4. How your extended family reacted at this great change in your life?
A. Dee and Doug – the feeling you were the only believer in Yeshua in the world.
5. How the Lord helped you to discover the Messianic part of His Body which started to grow that time all around the World?
A. Doug – the visit of the messianic believer in the Church. The trip in Israel and the perspective.
6. What significance had this trip in Israel in your life. Was your first trip in Israel?
A. Doug, Bonnie
7. When and why you decided to start a Messianic Jewish Congregation?
A. Doug and Bonnie
8. What is the purpose of this new Congregation? How do you share the good news to the Jews?
A. Doug – not aggressive evangelism but creating opportunities for the Jews to receive and understand the Gospel. And must pray for the work of conviction of the Holy Spirit.
