This is the moment a stunt plane suddenly plummets from the sky during an aerial show for a wedding and crashes on a street, hitting a young mum and her three-year-old child on the pavement.

The plane crash took place on Rivadavia Street in the small mountain village of Villa General Belgrano in the northern Argentine province of Cordoba at around 7pm on 30th October.

According to the news site Infobae, two stunt planes were performing aerobatics in the sky for a wedding when one encountered a technical problem and strayed from its established route.

The plane crashed on the street below and reportedly hit a young mother and her three-year-old child walking on the pavement at the time.

In the footage, the plane is seen nose-diving to the ground before crashing on a residential street just metres from the cameraperson. Screams are heard in the background as the video ends.

Infobae said the pilot, identified as 35-year-old Fernando Endrigo, who comes from the province of Buenos Aires and has many years of flying experience, was taken to the Hospital Eva Peron in Santa Rosa De Calamuchita with head, chest and abdominal injuries. There have been no further updates on his condition.

Meanwhile, the mother, 27, name not reported, suffered a broken leg and injuries to her head and torso while protecting her young daughter who suffered a pelvis fracture, according to Infobae.

The local prosecutor’s office is investigating the cause of the crash and why the stunt plane strayed from its route and crash-landed on a residential street.

The local authorities have confirmed that the Municipal Aeroclub had the necessary permits to carry out the aerial show for a wedding taking place in the area.

Infobae said the plane was a single-engine Rans S-9 Chaos with the registration LV-X571.

The investigation continues.
