2006 Audi A4 PCV Valve and Diaphragm Replacement - Check Engine Code P0171: This repair is on a 2006 Audi A4 2.0 Turbo, but other models will be similar. The P0171 code means that a vacuum leak exists near this side of the engine or there is a fuel delivery issue on the first bank of the engine. The first bank or bank 1 is usually located on the same side of the engine that contains cylinder number 1. A lean condition occurs when the engine either receives too little fuel or too much air. As you'll see in this video, trying to remove the oil cap with the car running revealed a very strong vacuum. This was our clue that the PCV valvle needed to be replaced. The entire diagnosis and repair procedure are included in this video.
