Tri Tip Steaks Rehydrating Tests
This time it's rehydrating some samples of tri tip steaks. (cut small and thin)
We rehydrate them three different ways: 1) With beef broth in the vacuum marinator from our FoodSaver vacuum sealer, 2) With beef broth without vacuum, 3) with water in a plastic bag.
The one in the vacuum marinator was the best overall for flavor and texture. The plastic bag one was soft and soggy, I think because it was in a bag we ended up poking and squishing it a lot to check it. Probably shouldn't do that so much, and the other samples could probably use a bit more of the squishing, Well, more tests will be required!
