d'Amour

D'Amour is another charming piece written and performed by W.K. Chan. In The Fairy Tale it was originally featured in Feenaria's Tomb, which is Dandor's prologue dungeon, as well as an important scenario hub later in the game. The song appears to combine piano and harpsichord into a charming piece. Now the harpsichord is a kind of the predecessor of the piano, which is just nice to know. Although Chan performed this all on an electric keyboard... dang, that breaks the romance, eh....Speaking of romance, that is what the title means. "Amour" is the French word for "love". "d'Amour" would therefore translate as "of love". The song is perfect as background tune for a calm dungeon (also for puzzle games), as it's a song that blends perfectly in a calm background, and though it has a bit of a melody, it is far from oppressive, which is very important for this kind of music. Although the music is not really written in a loopy way, you do not really notice that when you loop it, as the short break it would cause doesn't really seem bothersome.Now this piece was dedicated to this game, but the copyright still remains with W.K. Chan. If you wanna use this tune for your own productions, you'll have to talk to him, as this track is not mine to give away for that (which goes for all dedicated tunes in my game, unless I wrote them myself and there are a few for which that goes), but for obvious reasons I'm not giving his contact data.
