Serious accident while scuba diving

If at least one person finds this video useful and benefits from my mistakes, I will achieve my goal. I hope you will take this as a lesson and avoid a similar situation on your own dives. Losing your belt on a dive is a very common occurrence. I get feedback from several people including my friends which has happened to them too. As you go deeper in your dive, the pressure will reduce your waist line so you will need to be careful about tightening your belt. This video was shot in Cozumel Mexico during a deep dive 100 feet below the surface for PADI Advance Open Water certification. A broken weight belt with a plastic buckle loosened and fell to the bottom of the ocean. uncontrollable ascent ensues. students did not panic and managed to get the instructor's attention. Had the instructor not come to the rescue, students would definitely get Decompression Sickness (Bends).
