Oklahoma Metropolitan Library System Surprises Parent By Aiming LGBTQ+ Themed Reading At Children

June 2021, was designated "Pride Month" by the Oklahoma Metropolitan Library System. During that month there were numerous offerings for adults and children in the LBGTQ+ genre. You may read more about that here: https://reclaimoklahomaparentempowerment.blogspot.com/2021/06/action-opportunity-oklahoma.html
During this time, parent Andrea Crouch was logging in her child's reading hours for the Summer Reading Program when she encountered a pop-up enticing her child to "check your local library for recommended reading by LGBTQ+ authors for all ages". The pop-up included a link through which the child could navigate to LGBTQ+ books - ostensibly without a parent's permission.

While neither Andrea or ROPE wants books censored, no entity should secretly market items to underage children which run counter to the worldview being taught by the parent and certainly not on the taxpayer dime. You can also see more here: https://fb.watch/8lL7Oe-hj-/
