Spanish politician suggests “BOMBING” La Palma volcano to divert lava flow

The president of the nearby island of La Gomera’s municipal council Casimiro Curbelo has suggested dropping bombs to divert the Cumbre Vieja’s volcano’s flow.

"Isn't there a plane that flies and can drop... today the technology is very reliable... and boom! […] Maybe it's madness, but I get the impression from a technological point of view that it should be attempted,” Curbelo said in an interview with Radio Faycan.

Since the eruptions began 38 days ago around 7,000 people on the island have had to flee their homes.
