Investing in the stock market in Africa is a bet on long term, booming demographics and on the "next Asia". Be ready for volatility and a longer term investment outlook. Blue chip companies trade at low multiples, are very profitable, and have attractive growth prospects.

Tim's fund invests in frontier markets specifically, so excludes South Africa. He invests in the stock market in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Mauritius, West Africa, and maybe Nigeria, Zambia and others in the future.
