U.S. Marines and sailors with Marine Corps Installations Pacific - Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, and U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa respond to an active shooter situation as part of Constant Vigilance 2021 on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 21, 2021. First responders and camp personnel aboard MCBB eliminated the simulated threat and were able to tend to all casualties in the area. Constant Vigilance is an island-wide force protection condition evaluation and crisis response to validate regional, installation, camp, and tenant antiterrorism and mission assurance plans and policies.
