California Teen Pleads Guilty to Triple Murder of 16-Year-Old Girl and Her Parents

A 19-year-old California man confessed to lethally shooting three individuals in the head, including a 16-year-old young lady, after the young lady's stepfather got the man and his stepdaughter getting cozy in her room.

Police said the man previously shot the stepfather who attempted to toss him out-then killed the mother and the young lady since he would not like to "have any observers."

As indicated by a public statement from the Humboldt County District Attorney's Office, Mauricio Eduardo Johnson on Tuesday confessed to three counts of first-degree murder and conceded to three extraordinary claims of utilizing a gun in the passings of Nikki Metcalf and Margarett Moon, both 40, and 16-year-old Shelly Autumn Mae Moon.

Region Superior Court Judge Timothy Canning condemned Johnson to serve 150 years to life in the slammer with a chance for parole following 25 years. The details of the request bargain were first proposed by Johnson's lawyer, Andrea Sullivan and included excusing the extraordinary claims at first charged, the DA's office said.

In a meeting with social specialists, Jane Doe 1 allegedly said her more established sister Shelly had a portion of her cousins and companions over on the evening of Feb. 9 and that the gathering occupied with underage drinking. Shelly's mother supposedly found the children drinking at roughly 3

An observer who purportedly addressed Johnson after the shooting let agents know that "when the young lady's stepdad strolled in, the stepfather began 'getting extreme' with Mauricio Johnson so Mauricio Johnson took out his weapon and shot him," per the

Sworn statement.

The sound of the shot purportedly woke Shelly's mom, who went to her little girl's room to research.

"(Margarett Moon) strolled into the room and Mauricio Johnson shot her. Mauricio Johnson then, at that point, shot [Shelly] in light of the fact that he would not like to have any observers," the warrant expressed.

Investigators said Nikki and Shelly were articulated dead at the scene while Margarett was taken to a neighborhood clinic and later articulated tedious.

Johnson then, at that point, hurried home to get a vehicle and escaped the state. He was gotten and captured on Feb. 11 by troopers with the Utah Highway Patrol who spiked the tires of his SUV when he would not pull over.
