Blazing Saddles - Appendix: The Road from Vernon, Florida to Oświęcim, Poland - part 1

After yesterday's video on Blazing Saddles as a Jewish attack on goy America I was thinking about how most people react to something like that and why they don't react negatively, and that got me thinking about a somewhat-comedic but somewhat-cruel documentary film similar in that regard, Vernon Florida, which I saw in 1982. But today when I looked back at that and its filmmaker I discovered a history that extends to this day and in some surprising, and yet somehow unsurpising, aspects.
