"Der Senat soll seine Wahlkreise vertreten. Und in deren Wahlkreisen ist der Gesundheitspass, wie wir heute erfahren haben, eine Katastrophe für Kinos, Festivals und Theater. Deshalb sollten wir den Gesundheitspass abschaffen, anstatt ihn zu verlängern", sagte er. "Die Senatoren haben die Macht, all das zu stoppen. Sollen sie diese Macht nutzen, wir werden den Druck aufrechterhalten, wie wir es schon seit einem Jahr tun."

In Frankreich wurden seit Beginn der Pandemie mehr als 7 Millionen Fälle des Coronavirus und über 118.000 Todesfälle durch COVID-19 bestätigt.

Protesters opposing mandates meant to curb the coronavirus pandemic gathered outside the French Senate in Paris, on Wednesday, to demand an end of the Sanitary Pass.

The rally was led by Patriot Party leader and presidential candidate Florian Philippot, a former MEP who has been a leading figure in antivax and COVID-sceptic movement since the start of the pandemic.

""The Senate is supposed to represent their constituencies. And in their constituencies, as we've learned today, it's a disaster for cinemas, festivals, and theatres with the sanitary pass. So let us stop the sanitary pass rather than wanting to prolong it," he said. "Senators have the power to stop all of that. Let them use that power, we'll maintain the pressure as we’ve been doing for a year."

France has seen over 7 million confirmed cases of the coronavirus and over 118,000 deaths with COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.

Los manifestantes que se oponen a los mandatos destinados a frenar la pandemia de coronavirus se concentraron ante el Senado francés en París, el miércoles, para exigir el fin del Pase Sanitario.

La concentración estaba encabezada por el líder del Partido Patriota y candidato a la presidencia, Florian Philippot, antiguo eurodiputado que ha sido una figura destacada del movimiento antivacunas y escéptico del COVID desde el comienzo de la pandemia.
