"Well I say to Victorians, on this side of the house, the Liberal Party and the National Party will not stand for it - we'll oppose this every step of the way, in this place, in the upper-house, and out on the streets".

"If the Premier wants to know how much Victorians love this Legislation, let him go down Bourke St and stand in the Mall, and he'll get a free character assessment down there, and he'll have no doubt what people actually think of this Legislation".

"I oppose this bill with every core of my being".
