Efficacy of Ivermectin compared to Molnupiravir

Ivermectin was developed to be used in humans, it has a broad spectrum anti- parasitic, antibiotic and demonstrates broad spectrum antiviral activity against RNA viruses, including HIV, Zika and MERS corana-virus.

Ivermectin is a FDA-approved drug and inhibits the replication of SARS-COV-2 in vitro by a factor of 5000-fold. It inhibits SARS-Cov-2 in those infected by 99.98% within 48 hours. Further, more than 3.75 billion doses of Ivermectin has been given to human beings with only 5693 adverse event to date, making it a very safe drug.
