Reuniting Lost Baby Squirrel With His Mom ❤

A baby squirrel falls from its nest and is picked up by a dog, who carries it over to his owners. The mother squirrel was chasing the dog to get her baby back, but she was too scared to approach the people :( The finders of the baby were given my information by a neighbor who had also called me for a baby squirrel issue last year. After a remote video examination, I sent them an audio file recording of a baby squirrel crying and asked them to put the baby in a box near the tree, with a Bluetooth speaker near the box, then play this recording after they moved away to make the mother feel more safe. The mother squirrel appeared immediately to reclaim her baby ^_^

The baby had no apparent injuries from the dog, so it was safe to return it to its mother. If the baby is a cat's mouth though, even if you do not see puncture wounds, you should assume there are puncture wounds, and have the baby treated immediately by a rehabilitator with enrofloxacin. Bacteria from the mouth of a cat can kill babies and small animals in 24-48hrs, and their teeth marks are almost impossible to locate amongst fur. Always find a wildlife rehabilitator to examine the baby before it is returned to mom and do not attempt this method if you are not sure of how the baby ended up on the ground or what kind of animal may have had contact with it. Use this recording, played from a bluetooth remote speaker near the babies for best results. https://rumble.com/vpidw4-crying-baby-squirrels-mp3.html
