Diving with my daughter - Golden Haze, a diving film

This is a short film taken on a single dive during the summer of 2021.

Filmed at Lake Lanier in Georgia, I took my 10 year old daughter for a shallow water dive along one of Lanier's sand bars. The sand bars have beautiful golden flakes that float around and create the effect you see in the video. She said it was like floating through a "golden haze", and there's the title.

We cruised for about 15 minutes at a depth of 3 to 5 feet. This was the second time she has been underwater with a regulator. Her first experience was two years ago when she went to a "Try SCUBA" class and she took to it instantly.

For this dive she wore her mask, a 2lb weight belt with quick release, and used my Mares Loop secondary regulator. I was diving an Ocean Reef GDivers full face mask. The water temp was around 85 degrees, and the air temp was around 88 degrees.

I filmed our dive with an Akaso Brave 4 action camera, holding it in my hand. I only intended to document our dive together, not to make anything in particular for uploading. There are no filters or color adjustments to the video, I took it straight off the camera and edited it for length.

The music is by The Last Parade by Red Echoes. This song is copyright free.
