Velicia's Catwoman Cosplay | Lessons From Eartha Kitt

The late great Eartha Kitt is one of my all-time favorite voice actors, and if I lived in a perfect world, I would have my own cartoon character Velicia be voiced by her.

Eartha Kitt had a rich career, spanning far beyond her voice acting. She was a prominent singer, an actor on broadway, a film and television star, and even a staunch activist in a time where such a thing could ruin your life.

Her voice acting only really picked up at the very end of her career and her life. Despite this, she was wildly successful, and I believe it’s because she led a vibrant and rich life that she could portray so brilliantly in the characters she voiced.

Though It’s not possible for Velicia to ever be voiced by Eartha Kitt, I want the spirit of what she was able to exude to be infused in Velicia in some way.
