Daggerfall Playthrough Part 10 - Glenmorial Coven, Dust of Restful Death, Lysandus' Revelation

Hircine Ring:
Daggerfall has several very rare but powerful artifacts that can be acquired if you know where to look. One of them is the Hircine Ring (which looks like a shield in inventory for some strange reason). This ring removes certain curses associated with Lycanthropy like having to hunt an innocent or changing into a werewolf during a full moon BUT you get to keep all the advantages!! To acquire the Hircine Ring, you have to summon a Daedra Prince named Hircine who will reward you with the ring if you do a small favor for him like dealing with an ungrateful child (like a bad Santa). Sounds great, right? So how do we summon him? We can summon him on the 5th of Mid-Year BUT if we can locate the Glenmorial Witch's Coven we can summon him year round. Also, we'll need a buttload of cash too-200,000 gold to be precise. The coven is located in the Ilessan Hills-Fast travel to Old Chrystausa's Place, travel 1 cell West and 3 cells North of that location. It's tricky, but worth the messing around to find it. Be sure to save your game before you summon the Hircine as there's no refund for a failed summoning.

Dust of Restful Death:
9:40 - You receive a vision from Medora requesting that you acquire dust that she can use to soothe the spirit of Lysandus. She says to speak to Gortwog in Orsinium and to bring it back to her in Direnni Tower.

18:00 - Head to Orsinium and Speak to Gortwog, he says the dust is in the Masoleum of Darkivaron on the Isle of Balfiera. He also wants her to recognize his claim to an Orcish homeland. Fight through the Masoleum, the dust should be located on a mummy along with a letter.

NOTE: The mummy could be in one of several locations in the dungeon but I happened to find him the first place I looked, don't panic if he's not there-He's just hiding somewhere else. Also, it IS possible that the dungeon is not the Masoleum of Dakivaron, that happens sometimes-If it does then you're on your own.

Return the dust and the letter to Medora. The letter is barely legible but it shows that the Orcs attempted to stop the assassination of Lysandus. Medora says to come back in a month after she has prepared the dust.

Lysandus' Revelation:
34:00 - After the month is up, head back to speak to Medora. She gives you the dust with instructions to sprinkle it on Lysandus' remains which will allow you speak with him but she doesn't know where he is actually buried. However, you do!! During the Ancient Watcher quest, Lysandus' Tomb was marked on your map in Menevia. If you haven't completed that quest yet, now would be the time to do it. Follow the video to find the burial chamber-Take note of the levers being pulled, they activate certain parts in the dungeon. Sprinkle the dust on the corpse and Lysandus's spirit appears to reveal who truly murdered him (It's Lord Woodborne of Wayrest). Lysandus marks Woodborne Hall on your map in Wayrest for you to find an kill him so his spirit can finally be at rest.
