Dave Chappelle Speaks on 'The Closer' Controversy for First Time

Dave Chappelle broke his silence on the controversy surrounding his latest Netflix special, "The Closer."

Instead, Chappelle said the controversy is surrounding "corporate interest" about what he can say. He also noted that he would have met with Netflix employees who walked out, but he alleged they never asked. Regardless, the comedian said he is willing to meet with members of the transgender community, but only if they watch the special from beginning to end.
