Velicia Catra Cosplay | Lessons from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

Say what you will about She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, but it’s garnered a following, and I thought I’d take some time to dissect the reasons behind that … by drawing my own cartoon character Velicia cosplaying as Catra.

Yes, I’m doing that nefarious thing where I try to associate my own creation with a pre-existing IP and make your foolish little monkey brains think that you like my thing too!

But that’s a bit beside the point. What I’m doing with this new experimental series is finding out what I can glean from different shows and figure out how to inject it into my own content, particularly Schneeevil.

But I want to add a little twist to the whole thing by drawing Velicia (who is the main character of Schneeevil) in various cosplays. First off, it’s fun to do. Secondly, I recognize that a character with some good-looking “assets” has an uncanny ability to draw eyes, so I am exploiting that aspect of the whole ordeal.
