Iowa’s First Female Infantry Soldier

Pfc. Taylor Patterson, an infantry soldier from 1-168 Company C, becomes the first female enlisted infantry solider in Iowa after graduating from the 22-week long infantry school at Ft. Benning, Georgia on Aug. 6, 2021. She expressed excitement about being the first in Iowa and opening the door to future women. (Iowa National Guard video by Cpl. Edgar Chaidez)
