In the Bush #15 Solo Overnight Camping Under the Stars

Join me for an overnighter next to a warm fire under the stars. We'll do some campsite cleanup, have some shrimp scampi in the woods, and discuss the benefits of camping in an open shelter next to a fire vs in a tent.

As a former Boy Scout, and Eagle Scout for life, I decided I needed to brush up on my self reliance and outdoor skills. So in January of 2021 I began hiking out to my woods, building fires, shelters, cooking and other doing other bush activities. I decided for my own benefit I would film and catalog these trips, and track my progress along the way. What you are watching is footage from these trips, numbered from the very first time in the bush since my days of scouting.

In this video series you will see me learning and enjoying nature in various forms including bushcrafting, campfire cooking, fishing, hunting and foraging. In many videos you will be invited along for the journey as I camp in every possible environment from under the stars, to bushcraft shelters, to tent camping and even some vanping in my van and luxury camping in campers.
