Unbelievable !! Mother of 3, Walks 4,1/2 Miles for Food

This is the story of struggle in Appalachia, as told by Sheldon Livesay, ministry director for Of One Accord Ministry.

Of One Accord Ministry knows it serves some of the neediest families in Appalachia, but this was unbelievable- This is the story of a young mother- with 3 small children.

Ministry leaders sees this level of poverty all the time. We serve families who have no bathrooms inside or they don't have inside running water. We have come across people who don't heat in the winter, simply because they don't have money to heat.

Donations are matched to volunteers with food to distribute, building materials for home repairs and clothing, winter coats, shoes, furniture and many other services.

As Americas support ministries throughout Appalachia, like Of One Accord, they can rest assured they are making a difference in the life of families who struggle everyday. They can know they are bringing "hope" to some of our nation's lowest income families.
