A shepherd is very much concerned about the condition of His sheep. God loves us so much He's interested in our physical well-being as well as your spiritual well-being.
Just as the earthly shepherd is concerned for his sheep that they eat no poisonous thing, that they drink that which is pure, and that they have good green pasture, so the Lord is concerned for the health of His people.
"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul propereth." 3 John 2.
