At the name of Jesus every chain must break

Although we live in a time when slavery and captivity are all but things of the past, we all still have the screaming need for freedom. To what are we slaves or being held captive?

Pain, hurt, disillusionment, disappointment, disgrace from the past refuse to lessen their grip on us. What about guilt, or shame, or regret?

Maybe we have limiting thinking or “old tapes” that like to play in our minds. Maybe we have habits or tendencies that only serve to ruin us and not raise us.

Whatever it is that still has a stranglehold on us, we can give it to God. We need to identify the issue and call it out by name and have it break it’s hold on us when it is submitted to the name that is above all other names… Jesus.
