Info from Licensor: "Mya is a 23-year-old macaw, who was attacked by her mother in the nest at one week old. She lost part of both feet and part of one wing. She and her parents were kept in a tiny cage by a bad breeder and the mother tried to kill her thinking she didn’t have the resources to care for her. The breeder took Mya to a vet to be euthanized and the vet stated she could be saved. The breeder was going to take Mya to another vet to be euthanized, as he wouldn’t make money on injured birds, but the original vet ended up paying for Mya and her two siblings to save them. She is very strong, independent, and gets around very well despite her disabilities."
