Hospice of Buffalo using discrimination to fire long-term employees and nurses

Hospice of Buffalo which has been a gift to so many in the Buffalo area, has had a regrettable and abysmal record with patients and employees throughout the past year and a half.

It should be noted that most of your Hospice of Buffalo employees, staff, medical professionals, administrators, supervisors, managers and board members are good people...trying to provide the best and most compassionate level of care for the patients in our community they have served admirably for years and years. They have provided so much comfort and relief to tens of thousands of people so capably in this community, and their founders vision was a model replicated all throughout the country because of the heart, soul and passion he put into growing his organization.

Unfortunately, with the partnership created with Buffalo Medical Group, along with Buffalo Medical Group's partnership with California company, and known cost cutting partner Agilon, quality and consistency of care for patients in dire need of attentive, timely and compassionate care has suffered in lieu of profits and bringing in inexperienced employees. This has been very pronounced and especially evident throughout this past year and a half.

With recent mandates, guidelines, recommendations and policies handed down by Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, Erie County DOH head Dr. Gale R. Burstein, Former embattled and heavily investigated for criminal conduct ranging from deaths at elderly care facilities and sexual harassment allegations Governor Cuomo, NYS DOH head Howard Zucker and current NYS Governor Kathy Hochul, medical establishments like Hospice of Buffalo have been strong armed into compliance of forced injections for all staff. They've been threatened with heavy fines for every person not injected, loss of medicare payments, loss of Medicaid payments, loss of insurance payments and increased insurance premiums, as well as threat of losing their licenses to operate.

Given this incredible amount of pressure, as well as HR departments and board members being coached on how to execute and facilitate injection compliance by NYS and Erie County Department of Health, you can see why for the first time in history, Human Resources Departments and board members would enforce these mandates. Religious and Medical discrimination and intolerance are fostered, and have quickly become acceptable practice in an age where tolerance, acceptance and equity training is ironically forced upon employees by these very same HR individuals.

Men and woman employed by Hospice were subjected to relentless ridicule, hate, intolerance, shaming, asking them about HPPA protected medical procedures, demeaning, threatening and intimidation tactics in order to coerce, bully and strong arm them into getting an injection they did not want to get, for all variety of reason that they are entitled legally and Constitutionally to do. And then, these former heroes and darlings of the community were quickly called disposable, expendable and vilified... then forced to resign or fired from their jobs for no just cause or reason. Their unions did not help them. Their government did not help them. The laws designed to protect them did not help them. The courts and law enforcement officials intended to protect them failed them. Their employers turned on them because of threats of financial loss. Rather than filing lawsuits against these governments and politicians imposing this tyranny, these employers, most of which are totally against these forced mandates and very good people who feel like they have no voice and no choice, had to do something that went against everything they swore to uphold in their careers. To do the right thing.
