Abortion - a matter which lies extremely close to the heart of many people and in essence, the biggest reason why I do what I do. Unfortunately, it is not a new subject at all. So why am I addressing this now? There are various reasons, but in particular, we need to understand that this is a morally confusing issue to many people - even to members of our Church.

In this extensive presentation, my objective is to clarify misconceptions, first by looking at what God’s Word says about it, then by looking at the scientific evidence which confirms this. I will clarify concepts by explaining the difference between abortion on the one side, vs legitimate therapeutic/medical treatment to save a mother’s life on the other. Special attention is paid to the ever present and misleading loophole: Mother’s ‘health’. After this I briefly outline some of the shocking realities today, and in the last section, we will take a look at the position of the SDA Church on this matter.

Abortion is, in my humble opinion, the greatest evil, abomination and sin that mankind has ever committed and still continues to commit; that there, where a baby is supposed to be in a safe haven, is now the place where his or her life is most threatened!

In God’s Word we are clearly instructed to shout out loud, to be watchmen, and to warn people when they are transgressing God’s Law. That is the most important objective of this presentation. I pray that this will clarify any and all moral dilemma’s that you may have had on this subject. May God help us.
