EPISODE 50: Toolless tool Box Holder for the RK25/T25 tractors

Fixing the most annoying problem with a new tractor! When I bought my RK25 the tractor lacked a toolbox. There was one on the backhoe, and I used it quite a bit at the beginning. However, I don’t keep the backhoe on all of the time, especially if I have something else on the 3point. I see some people mount the tool box on the back of the tractor over the fuel tank, but I find that inconvenient to fill diesel. I also don’t think there is enough room for it when the backhoe is connected and the seats are back to back.

I began to think of how I could mount a toolbox without needed tools to remove or put on just in case there is a need to remove it in the field quickly. I also need to make sure that it does not get in the way of things I need to be clear on the tractor such as grease zerks or the hydraulics.

I thought of a new bracket that can slide on and off the tractor and only has to use a thumb screw to remove and reattach. Would this be possible? Find out!

If you like the ideas, the plans are here in the video. All of this was made with scrap metal leftover from the sawmill and making the man lift.

Here are the plans if you so desire to translate:
