Everyone thinks of China's social credit system as some sort of Black Mirror episode, while others compare it the the FICO score in the USA. It's much, much more than that. In fact, I found the documents that highlight how it works, and how it affects the people of China. Not only that, but I have spent a lot of time in the first city it was implemented.
Keep in mind, this is how the social credit system in China works, but it hasn't been implemented nationwide yet, only in selected areas.

China is gaming life and human being LOVE games. You assign a point value to every activity - and it will absolutely have a HUGE impact on people's behavior. Of course once you reach the age 50 you realize that you have spent all your life trying to win a game whose rules you never agreed to, you never helped build, and that ONLY applies to citizens (not politicians and the rich and powerful). Its going to come to the rest of the world...slowly but surely. It will be dressed up as something else. and it will be introduced over several generations.
