Kingdom of Hanover Anthem (1814-1866; Instrumental) Heil dir, Hannover

The Kingdom of Hanover (German: Königreich Hannover) was established in 1814. It succeeded the former Electorate of Hanover (German: Kurfürstentum Hannover or simply Kurhannover). The kingdom was ruled by the House of Hanover, in personal union with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland since 1714 untill 1837.

Heil dir, Hannover (Hail to thee, Hanover) was the national anthem of the Electorate and, subsequently, of the Kingdom of Hannover, which was adopted at the beginning of the 18th century. It is set to the melody of the British anthem, "God Save the King/Queen".
