The Chronometry Device

A multi-award winning short film written and directed by Kevin Odo and produced in association with BCTC Newtown Campus in Lexington KY. This short film is based on Kevin's book by the same name.

This story takes a glimpse into the lives of a typical young couple, Jerry and Megan. Jerry, a salesman, who lost his job several months ago and kept this hidden from his wife Megan. Mostly due to pride and a good dose of embarrassment. As the bills continue to come due, his desperation builds and he contacts a loan shark. He uses the money to pretend all is fine as he searches for new employment.

The money now gone and the house going into foreclosure, the timing couldn’t be worse for Jerry when the loan shark catches up with him one morning. Much to his surprise, the money isn’t what the loan shark is all that interested in anymore. Having discovered Jerry stole a valuable artifact from his office while obtaining the loan, his only focus is to get the item back. To accomplish this goal, the shark knows no boundaries.
