The little Ladder-backed Woodpecker is just 7.75" long from tip of bill to tip of tail. This video was taken with Canon SX60HS while I was sitting in my kayak - stay with it to the end to see the power of the zoom.
The Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge is located in Western Arizona in the Lower Colorado River Valley
