AN ISLAND FULL OF BOMBS
In the fifth episode of the first season of "Squid Game," we learn that the entire island on which the deadly games are taking place is covered with bombs. When undercover police officer Hwang Joon-ho (Wi Ha-Joon), who has infiltrated the squad of guards, descends the ladder to an underground secret passage, he sees a mysterious device on the wall. Another guard warns him. It's a bomb, he says. They are in an emergency exit for VIPs. If something went wrong, they could evacuate them that way and then bring everything down with the bombs placed everywhere.

At that moment, Hwang Joon-ho is mainly confused that there are VIPs on the island, which sets up the revelation about Oh Il-Nam's true identity. But another thing sticks with the audience: The island is full of bombs that could bury everything.
