Civil Servant

Civil Servants, those who sacrifice so much for the safety of our society. These amazing people don’t run away from danger, but they run towards it to protect, defend and rescue others. Civil servants are selfless, putting others first above themselves. Give honor to whom honor is due, those who serve among us, who enforce the laws, protecting us and keeping us all safe. Police, firemen, detectives, first responders, civil defense directors, I knew so many of them in my young life and they shaped me, teaching me the value of civility, the importance of adding value to your community, and the best choice of serving others over yourself. I called the civil servants that I grew to know, “Servant Warriors” because they were fierce in defending and rescuing others, and tender in heart towards people, always caring, always looking out for what was best for them. Courage, Compassion, Civility, this was the three-strand cord of civil servants that made them bold and strong in their response to the bad situations of life where they needed to intervene and save lives. My life has been changed in such a good way by hanging around these great men and women who serve our community, these Civil Servants. God bless our Civil Servants and their families.
