Concord Hymn - The MEMORIAL DAY song!! duet by Jim Chaps ft. Laurie Colton
3 years ago
77
Researching into the story behind the "poem" Jim learned it was written to a church melody, called "Old 100."
"So, I had to dig some more to find out what the melody is/was.... Aha!"
Jim is the folksinger who knows all verses of the Star-Spangled Banner, including the "Concluded" verse - written during the Civil War era and obscured in the public domain. Jim found this verse while recording his Triple Treat project in 2013.
Jim began playing original songs as a teenager in 1975 at The Hinge coffeehouse in Dearborn at FairLane Manor the former residence of Clara and Henry Ford.
