Bali earthquake triggers landslide burying homes in Indonesia

At least three people were killed and seven injured after an earthhquake hit Bali, Indonesia, on Saturday morning.

The magnitude 4.8 quake struck around 8km from Karangasem Regency on the popular holiday island at 03:18 local time. It was followed by an aftershock.

Panicked locals ran outside before rescue teams arrived to help those trapped under the rubble from collapsed buildings.

A landslide was later seen crashing down a hillside and burying homes below.

The US Geological Survey said the earthquake's shallow depth of 10km may have amplified the amount of damage.
