EXERCISE MACHINES VS. FREE WEIGHTS

In this video, we went over the difference between working out on an exercise machine in comparison to free weights. Machines are good for early teachings to turn the muscles on, or for those who are handicapped. For those who are healthy and able, it is recommended to utilize free weights to keep the core strong and integrated into movement patterns. The leg press does not turn on the core muscles like that of a squat or lunge.
