Angela Box Confronts HISD School Board Over Critical Race Theory, Masks

October 14, 2021 meeting of the HISD Board of Trustees (school board) was WILD, y'all.

I'm including my description of what happened so you know what the fake news media (ABC 13 and Houston Chronicle) left out.

The spin from the left from last night’s events at the HISD school board is hysterical and typical.
Houston Chronicle ran a story echoing the same fake news that ABC 13 put out the night before.
Let me explain why we all got so angry.
We all showed up around 4:45 PM. The meeting started at 5:08. We were subjected to 2 1/2 hours of ridiculous agenda items, word salad bureaucracy acronym slideshows, and other things that could have been done AFTER a community hearing.
This was done ON PURPOSE to try and make us lose our patience and leave. Obvious and nefarious attempt to silence us by omission.
At around 7:15 PM the superintendent decided to adjourn the meeting which made all of us look around and wonder what the hell was going on. We then jumped up and started confronting the trustees. The superintendent made a beeline for me because he knows damn good and well who I am.
It got heated because we were pissed off. We waited for almost THREE HOURS to address the board and we thought they were adjourning without being heard from the community.
Instead of allowing us to speak they made us wait another 30 to 40 minutes while they did their “closed board meeting.”
The parents who spoke were all impassioned and eloquent. They talked not only about masks but about the abhorrent conditions in HISD schools. The out of control discipline problem — which I remember from my time working there very clearly. The dilapidated schools. The bullying. Critical race theory. And yes, the masking of children.
The fact that ABC 13 chose to highlight the ONE parent who is advocating for more government control is astonishing, but not surprising.
Let me state for the record. I no longer am accountable to any of these left wing lunatics. The gloves have been off of me for a very long time.
And now it is amazing to see everyday parents who are risking a lot to stand up for their children and themselves against this horrible district.
Make no mistake — the mockery and derision we felt last night from HISD is real. The fake news is real.
We have an opportunity to get rid of five of these awful HISD board trustees in a few short weeks. Get your butt out to vote. No excuses.
These radicals must be defeated.
