There are certain strange folktales which appear in different cultural traditions all over the world. The strangest are those which describe the same mysterious phenomena which different traditions impute to different causes.

In Part 3 of this 4-part series, we'll explore sudden, mysterious, and undesirable changes in babies, which some traditions have attributed to fairies and dwarves replacing children with "changelings", and which some modern parents have blamed on the MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) vaccine.
